Distribution Centre Champion – Takealot

Key Responsibilities:
Organize and control the department to effectively support business goals.
Implement improvement processes, maintain procedures, and optimize systems to minimize costs and maximize working capital.
Ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and safety in work areas (Housekeeping).
Evaluate daily operational reports, addressing and resolving discrepancies promptly.
Manage control measures to highlight and resolve mistakes, inaccuracies, and discrepancies.
Oversee and motivate DC Assistants for accuracy and efficient turnaround times.
Collaborate with line Managers for daily planning and maintain FIFO tasks.
Resolve escalated daily operational queries from the team.
Conduct daily group meetings, addressing arising issues promptly.
Flexibility for shift work when required.
Comprehensive understanding of all aspects and processes related to Inbound.

Qualifications:
Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
Tertiary qualification advantageous.
Proven relevant experience in Picking, Packing, Receiving, Supplier Collects, and Inventory.
4-5 years of warehouse experience.
2 years of supervisory experience/exposure would be advantageous.
