Description

Job Purpose

 

To oversee and coordinate the operations of the heat press machines in the department.

 

Key Performance Areas

 

Operate printing equipment in accordance with the prescribed procedure.

Meet daily production targets ensuring that quality and quantity standards are met.

Ensure that correct materials are used effectively, and that wastage is minimized as far as possible.

Effectively operate Heat Press machines.

Regularly check, improve and maintain above average quality standards to minimise costly rework.

Maintain production rates according to defined targets and deadlines.

Assist in other positions and departments in accordance with operational requirements.

Ensure that all tasks are executed in a safe manner with due regard for Amrod’s policies and procedures, regulations specific to the use of equipment and products, and regulations prescribed by the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

Report unsafe acts / working conditions / injury on duty to the supervisor / manager immediately.

Maintain good housekeeping standards.

Requirements

Minimum Skills and Knowledge Required

 

Grade 12 or equivalent.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position and environment

Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Must be prepared to work overtime / weekends / shifts in accordance with operational requirement
