CMT, a prominent organization, is currently seeking individuals to join their team as Coach/ARV Treatment Supporters in the Chris Hani and OR Tambo Districts, Eastern Cape. This job opportunity is focused on a crucial mission – recruiting people living with HIV to enroll in a program designed to provide them with essential care and support.

Key responsibilities for Coaches in this role include:

 

Recruitment: Coaches will play a vital role in identifying and enrolling individuals living with HIV into the program.

 

Treatment Support: Coaches will be responsible for assisting program participants in initiating or resuming treatment and ensuring good adherence to their prescribed regimens.

 

Reporting: Coaches will be required to diligently report all relevant information using standardized templates and a smartphone app, ensuring that critical data is accurately captured.

 

These Coaches will work closely with selected clinics and community networks that engage with people living with HIV. A fundamental part of the role is to market and promote the HIV care and treatment program to eligible individuals.

This is a community-based position, and candidates must be in close proximity to the specified health facilities in the Chris Hani and OR Tambo Districts.

 

To be considered for this position, applicants should meet the following requirements:

 

A minimum of a Grade 10 qualification (having Matric or higher education is advantageous).

Comfort with disclosing HIV status.

Residency in the Chris Hani District and proximity to one of the designated clinics.

Proficiency in managing data, paperwork requirements, and the use of an online app.

The ability to work effectively with selected clinics, recruiting, supporting, and mentoring at least 50 individuals living with HIV each month.

 

Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to escalate challenges when necessary.

Aptitude for marketing and promoting the HIV Care and Treatment program.

Excellent time management to meet deadlines.

A flexible and helpful attitude is crucial in this community-based role.

Additional qualifications that are advantageous but not mandatory include a valid driver’s license with driving experience and knowledge of HIV/AIDS.
