The City of Joburg Municipality is looking for dedicated individuals to join their Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) Eco Guide team. Minimum Requirements:
Matric Certificate/Grade 12 (NQF level 4).
Previous experience or volunteering in environmental education or community engagement is an added advantage.
Physical fitness to perform duties such as river cleanups and establishing food gardens.
A genuine passion for working with communities.
Ability to collect data for environmental projects.
South African citizenship.
Residing in the specified regions (listed in the job post).
EPWP requirement: Proof of residence in the listed region, supported by a note from the ward councilor or an affidavit from an authorized body.
A clean criminal record.
Primary Function:
As an Eco Guide, your primary role is to inspire, support, and deepen the community’s understanding of the importance of protecting and preserving natural resources. You’ll be at the forefront of environmental education, helping communities develop a stronger connection with their environment.
