For South African students and recent graduates, 2026 could be the year your career truly begins. Vodacom has officially opened applications for its 2027 Early Careers Programmes, including a prestigious two-year Discover Graduate Programme and a 12-month Internship Programme designed to launch you into the tech and telecommunications industry.
Who Can Apply?
Both programmes target individuals completing their undergraduate degree (or equivalent) by the end of 2026. You must be a South African citizen by birth or permanent resident, with less than two years of corporate work experience after studies. Academic performance matters: a minimum 65% aggregate in your most recent results is required, along with at least a B-degree (NQF 7) such as B-Com, BSc, or B-Tech.
A three-year National Diploma (NQF 6) will only be considered for specific fields:
Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Computer Software Engineering
Information Systems/Information Technology
Graduate Programme: Your Path to Leadership
The Discover Graduate Programme is a 2-year immersive leadership development journey starting 1 February 2027. It’s built for high-potential individuals who are purpose-driven, digitally ready, and strong problem-solvers. Graduates enjoy global rotation opportunities, giving you international exposure, and at the end of the programme, you’ll step into a career-defining permanent role within Vodacom .

Internship Programme: Your Launchpad
The Internship Programme is a 12-month paid experience starting 1 February or 1 March 2027. It’s your chance to gain hands-on skills in a fast-paced digital environment, build a professional network, and discover your strengths. Importantly, this internship serves as a key pipeline into the Discover Graduate Programme and could lead to permanent opportunities .
