Alert Engine Parts, part of Motus Aftermarket Parts, is recruiting an Administrator to support its Johannesburg branch. This permanent position plays a pivotal role in payroll, HR administration and overall branch operations, delivering reliable and confidential administrative services that keep a team of about 122 employees running smoothly.

The successful candidate will hold a diploma or certificate in HR, Payroll, Administration, or a related field; HR or payroll certification is advantageous. Motus seeks someone with three to five years’ experience in payroll and HR administration—ideally gained in a medium- to large-sized workplace—who understands payroll processes, time-and-attendance systems and core HR practices.
Key responsibilities include administering monthly payroll input sheets, reviewing pre-run payroll reports and ensuring timely distribution of payslips. The role also handles leave administration through an Employee Self-Service system, overtime capture, bank-account updates, disability and pension documentation, and compassionate support for families of deceased employees. Beyond HR tasks, the Administrator will manage branch procurement—stationery, cleaning supplies and Makro orders for refreshments—coordinate travel and accommodation for sales reps, arrange boardroom and training logistics, and assist with audit documentation.

Candidates must demonstrate strong attention to detail, confidentiality, sound record-keeping, and excellent communication and time-management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll/time systems is essential. The role requires initiative in problem-solving, the ability to work independently and in teams, and strict adherence to company policies and compliance standards.
