A young man from KwaZulu-Natal is stranded in Cape Town after being deceived by a friend who promised him a job but disappeared, leaving him without money, food, or accommodation. Nqobile Qwabe traveled to Cape Town after his friend, Sizwe Ndlela, assured him of job opportunities and instructed him to pay R500 for rent and book his bus ticket. However, after Nqobile left, Sizwe switched off his phone and became unreachable.

Upon arriving in Cape Town, Nqobile was unable to locate Sizwe or find the promised job. Seeking help, he went to the local police station, but initially, an officer chased him away. Fortunately, a sergeant later intervened and allowed Nqobile to stay at the police station overnight. Despite this temporary shelter, Nqobile remains in a vulnerable position with no funds for food or accommodation, and he does not know anyone in Cape Town who can assist.

The community and concerned citizens are called upon to support Nqobile during this difficult time. Those who can provide food, financial assistance, or a safe place for him to stay are encouraged to reach out. Nqobile is currently at the Cape Town police station, and anyone willing to help can contact him or the station on the number 079 935 1545.

This case highlights the risks involved when individuals trust friends or acquaintances with promises of jobs and support without proper verification. It also underscores the urgent need for community compassion and practical support for people caught in such challenging circumstances. Helping Nqobile can make a significant difference in his life and restore his hope during this distressing experience.

If you are able to assist or know someone who can, please contact the Cape Town police station to provide the necessary support to this young man stranded far from home. Every contribution matters in giving Nqobile the chance to stabilize his situation and move forward safely
