The successful candidate will be responsible for various cash-handling duties, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures to mitigate risks. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive Cash:
- Accept deposits and update relevant systems.
- Ensure compliance with policies to minimize risks.
- Prepare Cash:
- Inspect containers for damages and report anomalies.
- Acknowledge containers in the system.
- Process deposits in accordance with bank SLAs and SOPs.
- Prepare a workstation for efficient note counting.
- Note Sorting:
- Sort deposits/notes on the same day within cut-off times.
- Send rejected notes for verification and balancing.
- Reconciliation:
- Reconcile rejected notes and check for counterfeits.
- Perform cash transfers to vaults and end-of-day balancing.
- Desktop Deposit Processing:
- Inspect containers for damage and report issues.
- Process deposits separately per customer and ensure timely processing.
- Coin Processing:
- Handle bulk coin deposits following SBV policies.
- Bank System Integration:
- Validate transactions linked to system integrations.
- Inform client services of any discrepancies to prevent delays.
- Payroll and Change Transactions:
- Process payroll/change transactions per customer SLAs.
- Report discrepancies promptly.
- Prepack/Treasury:
- Assist in packing and unpacking bank and ATM cash.
- Equipment Management:
- Utilize equipment according to SOPs and report defects.
Requirements:
- Work Experience: Minimum of 6 months in a cashier/teller role (advantageous).
- Education: Grade 12 with Maths Literacy.
- Special Training: Completion of SBV Cash Processor training is essential.
