NOW RECRUITING – APPRENTICE: GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE! Fancourt, South Africa’s premier golfing, leisure, and lifestyle destination, is in George in the heart of the Garden Route. The Golf Course Maintenance team is now accepting applications for a Golf Course Maintenance Apprentice. We are looking for a motivated individual with a passion for learning, as the purpose of this role is to be trained in all golf course maintenance practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Grade 10 or equivalent, coupled with general work experience
- No criminal record
Duties & Responsibilities:
The following duties are essential and may be adjusted to meet business needs:
- Hand raking of bunkers and bunker maintenance
- Grass cutting using ride-on and walk-behind equipment
- Trimming verges and hedges
- Rolling of greens
- Hand watering and cultural practices associated with golf courses
- Operating a weed eater, flymo, blower, and push mower
- Sod work
- Performing any other reasonable tasks as requested
The successful candidate must be physically fit to carry out all reasonable duties associated with this role and be willing to work additional hours, including weekends and public holidays.
