Job Summary
As the Waste Manager, you will spearhead the ZTL department’s efforts to implement zero waste strategic goals across designated sites. Your role involves identifying waste diversion opportunities, ensuring compliance, and reporting progress to the Sustainability Manager.
Responsibilities
Oversee zero waste operations and mentor staff.
Manage waste audit teams and analyze performance statistics.
Review and enhance environmental policies and procedures.
Ensure correct usage of performance measurement tools.
Maintain client relations and ensure satisfaction by addressing waste diversion challenges.
Train and develop zero waste staff to meet operational standards.
Ensure compliance with environmental legislation.
Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualification.
Minimum 4 years’ experience in waste management or recycling, with people management experience.
Strong understanding of waste legislation.
Valid driver’s license and at least 7 years’ working experience.
