About Us:

The Department of Roads and Transport in Gauteng Province is committed to ensuring safe and efficient transportation infrastructure for the residents of Gauteng. As part of our mission, we are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Cleaners.

 

Position Overview:

We are looking for 12 motivated individuals to fill the role of Cleaners within our department. Cleaners play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in our facilities, contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for both employees and visitors.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.

Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, corridors, and other areas as assigned.

Dispose of trash and waste in designated containers.

Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stocked and readily available.

Adhere to health and safety regulations and departmental policies at all times.

Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel.

Collaborate with team members to achieve cleaning targets and maintain high standards of cleanliness.

Qualifications:

 

Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial roles preferred but not required.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and dedication to maintaining cleanliness standards.

Good physical condition to perform cleaning tasks effectively.

Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude towards work.

Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with colleagues and visitors.

Additional Information:

 

This is a full-time position with competitive salary and benefits.

Training will be provided to successful candidates.

Candidates must be residents of Gauteng Province and legally eligible to work in South Africa.
