Key Performance Areas:

Conduct pre and/or post-HIV test counseling.
Provide adherence counseling and support to clients eligible for or already on the ARV program.
Follow up with clients who have defaulted on clinic visits, treatment, or monitoring.
Ensure timely communication with hotels for mobile clinic day visits.

Promote studies and recruit participants through health talks and brochure distribution.
Obtain informed consent and conduct screening interviews for study eligibility.
Schedule appointments for further screening at WRHI clinic.
Administer study questionnaires and address patient queries.
Provide adherence counseling and support for PrEP program.
Deliver health talks at clinics and hotels, promoting prevention and counseling.
Transgender Programme:

Actively recruit transgender individuals within communities.
Identify transgender individuals, especially TB and/or HIV positive patients, who have defaulted.
Requirements:

Grade 12, valid driver’s license.
Fluent in English and African languages (Sesotho and Zulu preferred).
Minimum 6 months working experience as a Peer Educator (advantageous).
Basic HIV education and counseling.
Empathetic with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer literate with Microsoft Office knowledge.

Tactful, respectful, and maintains confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
