We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as an instructor for the Clothing Manufacturing Processes NQF Level 1 GETC. This qualification, SAQA 50584, focuses on providing learners with the essential knowledge to excel in the garment technology industry and fosters entrepreneurship for sustainable community development.
Responsibilities:
Course Objectives: Design and implement engaging lessons that cover key aspects of garment production using lockstitch sewing machines. Ensure that learners acquire proficiency in the entire manufacturing process, from measuring garments to finishing and inspecting the final product.
Target Audience: Cater to individuals within the clothing sector who aspire to become skilled professionals or entrepreneurs. Motivate and guide learners toward mastering the art of garment production, instilling a passion for quality and precision.
Course Content: Develop and deliver comprehensive modules covering theory of garment measurement, pattern drawing, practical application, and quality procedures for finishing and storing pressed and ironed garments. Facilitate hands-on experiences, allowing learners to create a minimum of two different garments or home textiles using lockstitch sewing machines.
Qualifications:
Proven expertise in clothing manufacturing processes, with a focus on lockstitch sewing machines.
Teaching or training experience in the field, demonstrating the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
Strong understanding of quality control procedures in garment production.
