Requirements

 

Grade 12 / Matric / NQF4 equivalent qualification

Valid Grade C PSIRA registration

Computer Literacy (Basic Microsoft Packages)

Clearance record from South African Police Services

Valid Driver’s License

Minimum 2 years’ experience in security services

A level of medical, psychological, and physical fitness suited to the position’s demands

Working Conditions

 

Shift work, in alignment with the University’s operational needs (24/7/365)

May include straight day or night shifts, alternating shifts, etc.

Travel or work at various sites may be necessary

Uniform attire required, working in all weather conditions

Recommendations

Preference will be given to candidates with:

 

Security/risk management qualifications NQF5 or equivalent

Knowledge of Impro Portal, Nimbus, and video management systems

 

Experience in educational or corporate campus security

Professional driver’s permit (PDP)

Higher PSIRA Grades or Accreditation (e.g., Grade A or B, Armed Reaction)

Valid SAPS fire-arm competency certificate

Training/experience in firefighting and first aid
