Position: Internship in Various Service Areas
Location: Reakgona Disability Centre (RDC), University of Limpopo, South Africa
Duration: Fixed-term basis for 3 to 6 months
Stipend: R5000.00 per month

Reakgona Disability Centre (RDC) is participating in the Presidential Youth Employment Stimulus (PYES) programme, coordinated in the Presidency, aimed at providing temporary employment opportunities for young graduates from universities who have been unable to find employment. The Centre is inviting eligible candidates to apply for Internship positions in various service areas to gain valuable experience and improve their readiness for future employment.
Service Areas:
Computer laboratory
Audio-Braille library
Braille Section
Admin office
Reception
Orientation and Mobility office
Occupational Therapist Assistant
Eligibility Criteria:
South African citizenship
Unemployed Youth aged 18 – 35 years
Graduated from the University of Limpopo
Preference will be given to disabled learners where possible
Equitable gender representation
Duties/Responsibilities:
Interns will be assigned to specific service areas and are expected to assist RDC in running its projects. This includes ensuring that each center’s service area serves its clientele with high-quality services. Successful candidates must attend the initial training arranged by the centre to fully qualify for the position. Applicants should demonstrate empathy towards students with disabilities to promote a favorable situation that fosters mutual understanding.
