The Department of Small business development needs security officers.
There is a twelve-month contract at the department of small business development.
The Salary: R128 166 per annum
There are more than twelve posts.
Centre: Pretoria.
Requirements for this job are as follows:
An applicant must have a basic security officer’s course and PSIRA Certificate.
Matric is a must and a Grade C PSIRA Certificate.
The person must know the procedures for controlling the movement o equipment and the control of the stores or shops.
The knowledge of security officer procedures and applying them. An example of this is MISS, Access control Act.
Must be a person with good communication skills and must be good at talking on the Telephone. Must be honest and integrity.
Be the person who is ready for night shifts.
The Duties.
The Applicant will be expected to perform or complete or ensure that the admission control register is controlled and issue the card to escort visitors to the venue of the employee.
Must identify suspicious conduct.
Apply the emergency procedures when there is something wrong like alerting the emergency services immediately. For example, if there are bombs scares. Think fast about the procedures and do them.
Be able to use the security equipment like having knowledge of operating and monitoring the CCTV.
