Faircape Restaurant and Catering, part of Faircape Life retirement villages, operates in six prime locations across the Western Cape, providing dining services to village residents and patients in onsite healthcare centers.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Waiter to join our team at Cle Du Cap. The successful candidate will ensure that guests and residents receive exceptional service with efficiency and courtesy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Change table linen as required; count and exchange dirty or damaged linen for clean items.
- Clean and refill cruet and condiment sets.
- Set tables according to laid-down standards, ensuring cleanliness and good condition of all items.
- Maintain designated areas to meet hygiene standards.
- Possess thorough knowledge of menu items to confidently recommend options to residents.
- Serve food and beverages in accordance with established standards while maintaining professionalism.
- Foster excellent customer relations, accommodating resident needs without inconveniencing other guests.
- Handle customer complaints effectively and report them to management.
- Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly stock audits; report variances or breakages.
- Restock bar inventory and supplies as needed.
- Ensure accurate billing of orders and report any errors to management.
- Maintain high personal hygiene and grooming standards.
- Be willing to assist with private events outside normal working hours.
Experience and Knowledge:
- Proven experience as a Waiter; bartending and barista experience is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of serving etiquette and basic wine knowledge.

Salary:
From R 6,000 Cost to Company per month. Please note that this is a fixed salary; tips are not included.
Working Hours:
16.25 shifts per month, with normal working days from Monday to Sunday between 07h00 and 19h00, according to the roster.
