Key Responsibilities

Candidates will be expected to perform the following duties:

  • Load and offload soiled and clean linen bags on and off trucks.
  • Pack shelves in the linen bank and prepare linen for dispatch.
  • Empty soiled linen bags and sort/count linen.
  • Load and offload trolleys; push trolleys as needed.
  • Load linen bags onto conveyor belts and overhead rails.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area.

 

Requirements

  • Experience: Appropriate laundry experience is required.
  • Education: Basic numeracy and literacy skills are necessary.
  • Physical Fitness: Candidates must be physically fit to perform manual labour.

Remuneration

The annual salary ranges from R131,265 to R154,626, which includes service benefits such as a 13th cheque, employer contributions to a pension fund, housing, and medical aid allowances.
