Role description

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Learner Profiler Assistant to join our team in the Ekurhuleni East District for a 12-month fixed-term position. This role is funded through the YES programme and provides an excellent opportunity for unemployed South African youth to gain practical work experience in a school environment. As a Learner Profiler Assistant, you will be responsible for assessing learners using the Learner Profiler online system, assisting them with bridging learning gaps and explaining assessment results to teachers and parents. You will work Monday to Friday in schools located in the east Rand area, Springs and Brakpan.

Role requirements

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• South African citizen, first-time participant in the YES programme
• Currently unemployed
• Passed Grade 12
• Diploma or Degree in Education (Foundation Phase) or PGCE
• Ability to build good working relationships with learners and teachers
• Compassionate and positive attitude
