Exceptional Customer Service Representative**

 

**Location: Pedro’s, Cape Town**

 

**Purpose:**

 

At Pedro’s, our mission is to deliver exceptional customer service. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing top-notch service and be capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

 

**Duties and Responsibilities:**

 

1. **Stand for Long Periods:** You should be comfortable standing for extended periods, as our environment requires constant engagement with customers and mobility around the premises.

 

2. **Stock Handling:** You will be responsible for lifting, carrying, and moving stock items and equipment as needed. This includes restocking shelves, organizing inventory, and ensuring the sales floor is always well-maintained.

 

3. **Customer Service:** Delivering great customer service is at the heart of this role. You will greet customers, assist them with their needs, answer questions, and provide a positive shopping experience.

 

4. **Fast-Paced Environment:** Pedro’s is a lively place, and you’ll need to thrive in a fast-paced setting. Being adaptable and quick on your feet is crucial for maintaining the flow of service and ensuring customer satisfaction.

 

5. **Good Eyesight:** Excellent eyesight is essential to handle various tasks efficiently, including reading labels, managing stock, and performing other duties that require keen attention to detail.

 

**Requirements:**

 

1. **Grade 10:** A minimum education level of Grade 10 is required to ensure you have the basic skills necessary for the role.

 

2. **National Senior Certificate (Preferred):** While a National Senior Certificate is preferred, it is not mandatory. However, it would be advantageous.

 

3. **Literacy Skills:** Well-developed literacy skills are crucial for understanding product information, communicating effectively with customers, and completing necessary documentation.

 

4. **Numeracy Skills:** Good numeracy skills are needed to handle transactions, manage stock levels, and perform other tasks that involve basic math.

 

5. **Experience:** At least one year’s experience as a waiter or in a similar customer-facing role is required. Experience in the hospitality industry, particularly within Cape Town, will be beneficial.
