**About the Role:**

 

* Perform and analyze laboratory samples to provide crucial results for medical practitioners in diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases.

* Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment for optimal efficiency and accurate results.

* Implement strict housekeeping procedures and collaborate effectively as part of a team to ensure a safe working environment.

* Assist the laboratory manager in overseeing equipment maintenance, asset management, and resource utilization.

* Attend training, seminars, and participate in continuing professional development activities.

* Represent Lancet Laboratories with professionalism and adhere to ethical standards.

 

**Qualifications:**

 

* National Diploma in Biomedical Technology or BSc Medical Laboratory Science.

* Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) in a relevant discipline.

* 0-1 years of relevant working experience.

* Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and laboratory information systems.

* Experience with laboratory standards operating procedures and processes.

* Understanding of medical ethical guidelines in medical pathology fields.

* Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

* High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
