Clinical Trainer – KZN (Grade 12 Fluent in Zulu)

Position Overview: TB HIV Care is seeking a dynamic and motivated Clinical Trainer to join our team in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). As a Clinical Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the capacity and skills of healthcare professionals in the management and treatment of HIV and TB.

Key Responsibilities:
- Training Delivery: Develop and deliver high-quality training programs and workshops to healthcare professionals, including nurses, clinicians, and community health workers, on HIV and TB prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care protocols.
- Clinical Mentorship: Provide on-site clinical mentorship and support to healthcare providers at various healthcare facilities across KZN, ensuring adherence to national and international treatment guidelines and best practices.
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the training team to design and update training materials, manuals, and resources based on evolving clinical guidelines, research findings, and programmatic needs.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Implement robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the effectiveness and impact of training interventions, identify areas for improvement, and ensure continuous quality improvement.

- Capacity Building: Strengthen the capacity of healthcare facilities to deliver comprehensive HIV and TB services by identifying training needs, conducting skills assessments, and facilitating targeted capacity-building initiatives.
- Community Engagement: Engage with community stakeholders, including patient support groups and advocacy organizations, to promote awareness, reduce stigma, and enhance community participation in HIV and TB prevention and care initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 certificate (Matric) is essential.
- Fluency in both written and spoken Zulu is mandatory.
- Registered Nurse or Clinical Associate qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in HIV and TB clinical management and training.
- Proven experience in curriculum development, training delivery, and clinical mentorship.
- Strong understanding of South African healthcare systems, policies, and guidelines related to HIV and TB.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
