Job Description
As the Senior Dispatch Supervisor, you will oversee the management of the warehouse during your shift. This includes ensuring proper stock control, maintaining operational standards, and managing the timely loading of trucks according to established procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage truck loading in compliance with GFC policies.
- Compile necessary documentation such as dispatch fracturing and weigh bridge tickets.
- Prepare daily stock reports for management.
- Conduct stock-takes as required.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure quality service.
- Optimize warehouse layout for efficient stock placement.
- Ensure products are picked and dispatched on schedule.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and implement continuous stock control measures.
- Lead, mentor, and coach subordinates, managing their performance and discipline.
- Identify training needs and assist in staff recruitment.
- Monitor and authorize overtime as necessary.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately during your shift.
Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF Level).
- Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management/Logistics.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in warehousing; supervisory experience in a poultry abattoir is preferred; experience in FMCG/Food Industry is advantageous.
- Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), strong administration, planning, reporting, and people management skills.
- License: Valid Code B driver’s license and reliable transport.
- Availability: Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and public holidays.
