Overview: We are excited to announce that applications for the Diploma in Nursing R171 program are now open. This program allows you to study while gaining practical experience in the healthcare field. You will be eligible for registration as a General Nurse with the South African Nursing Council upon completion.

 

Program Details:

  • Duration: 3 to 4 years
  • Structure: The program comprises three levels, each requiring 1200 hours of theory and clinical practice.
  • Exit Level Outcomes: Graduates will be equipped to provide comprehensive nursing care across various healthcare settings, manage healthcare units, and utilize healthcare information systems effectively.

Requirements:

  • For Senior Certificate Matriculants:
    • English and Biology/Physiology with a minimum of C (Standard) and D (Higher Grade).
    • A minimum Admission Point Score (APS) of 18 points.
  • For National Senior Certificate Matriculants (NSC):
    • Compulsory subjects: English (Level 4) and Life Sciences (Level 4).
    • Any other two approved NSC subjects with Level 4, totaling a minimum APS of 23 points.
