The Agricultural Research Council (ARC) is seeking to hire 8 Casual Workers for a six-month fixed-term contract. The positions are divided as follows: 4 positions in Nelspruit and 4 positions in Hluhluwe.
Job Responsibilities
- Planting of seeds and seedlings
- Harvesting of fruits and vegetables
- Irrigation and fertilizer application
- Weed, pest, and disease control
- Sampling plants for evaluation
- Carrying out farm practices as directed by the Researcher or Supervisor
- Use and maintenance of provided tools and equipment
- Performing manual tasks assigned by the supervisor
- Observing Occupational Health and Safety instructions, including the use of protective clothing

Requirements
- Minimum of Grade 10 and understanding of basic agricultural practices
- Basic knowledge of manual operation of farm equipment and machinery
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of health and safety procedures
- Willingness to work under adverse weather conditions
