Vaal University of Technology is hiring Invigilators for 120 positions. Below are the details of the job posting:

Job Description:

Key performance areas include but are not limited to:

  • Report to the exam office prior to each exam session.
  • Secure exam papers and materials at all times.
  • Ensure exam venues are set out to standard.
  • Admit students into exam venues.
  • Identify, seat, and instruct students during exams.
  • Distribute exam papers and materials to students and address candidate queries.
  • Basic numeracy skills are required.

 

Application Criteria:

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification from a SAQA-accredited institution.
  • Experience as an invigilator at VUT will be prioritized.
  • Age requirement: 25 – 60 years.
  • Unemployed graduates and individuals not currently registered or recently graduated (within the last two years) from VUT are encouraged to apply.

Skills:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to relate to staff and students.
  • Capability to work under pressure.
  • Understanding of examination processes.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Report writing skills.
  • Good numeracy skills.
