Location: Non-Communicable Diseases Research Unit (NCDRU)
Salary: R18,882.45 per month, cost-to-company (negotiable based on qualifications and experience)

Reference Number: R753AThe Non-Communicable Diseases Research Unit (NCDRU) is seeking experienced, energetic, highly motivated, and organized fieldworkers to join our research studies.
The successful candidates will be responsible for recruiting eligible participants and ensuring full retention rates for the study, conducting interviews at identified health clinics and/or the NCDRU research clinic.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with study protocols.
  • Collaborate with clinic staff to identify potential study participants.
  • Conduct screening and recruitment interviews.
  • Provide motivational counseling to study participants.
  • Administer questionnaires.
  • Recruit and track study participants.
  • Perform general project administrative tasks, including quality assurance, data entry, supply control, and daily reporting.
  • Assist project staff members with other tasks as needed.
  • Work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Meet set targets for recruitment.

Core Requirements:

  • Matric certificate.
  • At least two years of fieldwork experience in clinic recruitment.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans or isiXhosa in addition to English.
  • Experience in conducting fieldwork for health research projects.

 

  • Valid Driver’s License and actively driving.
  • Good computer skills.

Added Advantage:

  • 5 to 10 years of fieldwork experience.
  • Experience working in a research setting, including participant recruitment and fieldwork activities for clinic-based research projects.
  • Previous counseling experience.
