Job Description:
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting opportunity in our Quality Assurance department. We are looking for a talented individual with relevant skills and experience to join us as a Quality Assurance Technician, based in Midrand.
Reporting directly to the QA Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in developing, implementing, communicating, and maintaining a quality plan to ensure adherence to quality standards within the Supply Chain. Additionally, the Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for managing and maintaining designated quality systems and standards, as well as providing support and assistance to customers in addressing and managing quality systems, process, and product-related issues to improve overall quality and productivity.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Participate in and facilitate quality-focused improvement initiatives.
Compile and issue reports related to quality assurance.
Provide support services for Quality Assurance.
Coach and train customers on quality-related matters.
Conduct audits of work processes.
Delegate and monitor work activities.
Resolve situational problems related to quality.
Manage own development and performance.
Maintain line quality performance.
Act as a quality requirement consultant for the line.
Ensure proper calibration and verification of measurement equipment.
Attend daily MDT meetings.
Key Attributes and Competencies:
Computer knowledge.
Proficiency in quality control practices and principles.
Familiarity with bottling principles and processes.
Product handling and knowledge.
Skills, Experience & Education:
B Tech or 3 years Diploma in Food Technology or Science Degree.
Minimum of 5 years of quality control related experience in an FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment.
Successful completion of CAP (Competency Assessment Program) in the current role.
