The School of Arts in South Africa is helping actors from disadvantaged families to be able to become recognised and we’ll established actors in the world.
They offer this opportunity to everyone who wants to pursue a career in Acting. They are opening opportunities to people and place them in well known TV shows and soapies like Imbewu the seed and Uzalo.
It has been a struggle for most actors in South Africa to get where they always wanted to be.
Some of them studied Acting funded by NSFAS because of their disadvantaged backgrounds. When NSFAS stopped to fund them.
hey went back home and applied for acting opportunities online. This struggle is real because some of them ended up going back to school to study something else.
The school of arts checked the struggle of new actors and picked it up. They decided to training the actors for free and give them free accommodation up until they get their first salary. After they got employment they can pay back the money.
This is a good opportunity because moving to Johannesburg really requires a lot of money and few people can afford it.
