King Charles Extends ‘Ultimate Olive Branch’ to Harry and Meghan – But It Could Leave Andrew Fuming

Buckingham Palace insiders reveal King Charles III is preparing what one source calls his “ultimate olive branch” to estranged son Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, a gesture that risks reigniting tensions with Prince Andrew.

In a move signaling reconciliation amid the monarch’s ongoing cancer battle, Charles plans to invite the Sussexes to a high-profile family event later this year – potentially a state banquet or Trooping the Colour. “It’s the King’s way of drawing a line under the rift,” a royal confidant told the Daily Mirror. “He misses his son and wants to show the world the family can heal.”

The olive branch comes after Harry’s brief UK visit in February for his father’s diagnosis, where the pair shared a poignant 45-minute private chat. Meghan, who stayed in California with their children Archie and Lilibet, has reportedly softened her stance, open to selective returns if security concerns are addressed.

But here’s the rub: the invitation pointedly excludes Prince Andrew from key honors. Charles has already stripped Andrew of his military titles and Frogmore Cottage – once eyed for Harry. Now, whispers suggest Andrew’s HRH status could be quietly downgraded further, freeing up resources for Sussex security or a potential UK bolthole.

“It’s galling for Andrew,” the source added. “He’s been sidelined for his Epstein links, yet Harry – who quit royal duties – gets the royal welcome mat. Fergie is livid too.”

Royal watchers see this as Charles prioritizing blood ties over protocol. “The King knows time is precious,” said commentator Ingrid Seward. “Andrew’s indiscretions sealed his fate; Harry’s are in the past.”

Meghan’s camp remains coy, but a source hints: “They’re grateful but cautious.” Will the Sussexes bite? And can Andrew swallow his pride?

As Charles reshapes the Firm, this olive branch could either mend fences or spark fresh fireworks
