- COACH / ARV TREATMENT SUPPORTER
Responsibilities:
Act as a liaison between communities and health facilities, specifically Ngangelizwe CHC.
Recruit and support individuals living with HIV, ensuring treatment initiation or re-starting and promoting adherence.
Report relevant information using standardized templates and a Smart Phone app.
Collaborate with Team Leader and Project Coordinator based in Mthatha.
Market and promote the HIV Care and Treatment programme.
Work closely with selected clinics and community networks.
Requirements:
Minimum Grade 10 (Matric or higher qualification advantageous).
Comfortable with disclosing HIV status.
Long-term HIV treatment success for those living with HIV.
Reside in OR Tambo District, in close proximity to the specified clinic.
Ability to manage data, paperwork, and use an online app.
Capacity to recruit, support, and mentor at least 50 people living with HIV per month.
Problem-solving skills and ability to escalate challenges when necessary.
Marketing and promotion skills.
Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
Flexibility and helpful attitude.
Advantageous:
Valid driver’s license with driving experience.
HIV/AIDS knowledge.
