The Requirements for the job

 

Applicant must be someone with Grade 12 and someone who studied mathematics and Physical sciences. You can still apply if you don’t have Mathematics and physical sciences, however, the first preference will be someone who studied Physical science and Mathematics.

 

Must not be studying and must be over 18 years of age.

You must have no criminal record

You must be healthy and fit medically and physically fit.

Applicant must be a brave person who is not scared of confined spaces or heights.

 

Succesfull candidates will be expected to do the following:

Reach test 1.9 m

2.4 km run

Push-ups

Sit-ups

Dead load carries

What will happen after you passed the test?

The applicant will be required to pass the written assessment and pass an interview.

 

Submit fingerprints is compulsory

Will be going under city medical evaluation

Will undergo drug test

Acrophobia test

will be given uniform and protective clothes

Applicants may use a Smart Cape computer at a City of Cape Town Library if they are a library member. To become a library member, you will need to apply for membership at a library with your ID and proof of residence. Certified copies of qualifications must be available on request.
