Key Requirements
Applicants must hold a Matric certificate or equivalent qualification, coupled with a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or a related field as recognized by SAQA. A minimum of 1-2 years’ relevant experience in supply chain administration, procurement, or asset tracking is advantageous, along with proficiency in computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office and financial systems like SAGE or COLTECH. Strong knowledge of key legislation including PFMA, PPPFA, Treasury Regulations, and BBEE is essential, as is excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to thrive in a fast-paced TVET environment.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will handle procurement processes, including requisition forms, verifying deliveries, and ensuring accurate documentation for goods and services. Responsibilities extend to asset management, such as capturing movable and immovable assets in registers, tracking internal movements, and supporting inventory reconciliations. Additional tasks involve administrative support for bursaries, stock ordering for stationery and textbooks, salary administration, and maintaining supplier databases while adhering to compliance standards.
