Fidelity Services Group is looking for dedicated Fire Fighters to join our Fidelity Fire Solutions team in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. This is a permanent position focused on responding to fire-related emergencies and providing essential firefighting, rescue, and fire prevention services to protect lives and property.

Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to fire incidents, rescues, and hazardous substance emergencies.
Provide emergency medical care and resuscitation to injured persons.
Operate and maintain firefighting equipment and vehicles.
Conduct firefighting training, fire safety inspections, and prevention activities.
Assist in educating employees on fire safety theory and practice.
Perform health and safety checks to maintain a safe work environment.
Maintain operational readiness by checking and servicing equipment and vehicles.
Complete all shift-related administrative duties and safety documentation.
Drive and operate heavy emergency vehicles and specialized machinery during incidents.
Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations and company policies.
Participate in training drills, simulation exercises, and departmental safety meetings.
Provide supervisor support and line functional leadership when required.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Grade 12 certificate.
IFSAC Accredited and NFPA 1001 Firefighter Level 2 Certification.
Firefighter II Certification with 2 to 3 years of related experience.
Valid Code C1 driver’s license with PrDP; advanced driving skills advantageous.
Medically and physically fit for firefighting duties.
Solid knowledge of fire prevention procedures, firefighting systems, and Hazmat handling.
EMT certification and First Aid levels 1 to 3 required.
Clear criminal record.
Core Competencies:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong understanding of Hazmat guidelines and safety protocols.
Knowledge of the security industry code of conduct and regulatory requirements.
Ability to work effectively under emergency conditions and maintain operational readiness.
