Picker and Packer Job Opportunity in Cape Town
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Picker and Packer to join our team in Cape Town. As a Picker and Packer, your core responsibilities will include accurately picking goods from the picking list against customer orders and carefully packing them onto shelves according to company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate picking of stock as per the picking slip
- Verify that the correct stock was picked and communicate any anomalies or differences
- Accurately complete picking slips with required information such as name, date, weights, dimensions, and signatures
- Ensure proper packing of stock into the correct areas/bin locations
- Effectively wrap products according to company procedures to protect them during shipment
- Prepare products for shipment or delivery and load them onto vehicles as per specifications
- Assist with receiving, loading, and unloading of stock as required
- Conduct stock counts and maintain a clean, tidy, and sanitary warehouse environment
- Adhere to the OHS Act, company policies, and health and safety procedures
- Provide excellent customer service at all times
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- 1 year of experience in a similar picker and packer role
- Ability to carefully and accurately pick and pack items, ensuring correct quantities, product quality, and proper packaging
- Capability to prioritize tasks, work under deadlines, and meet productivity targets while maintaining accuracy
