Not Again|| Another South African Teacher Died In China & The Family is Struggling to Bring her Back

Due to the lack of jobs and a suffocating currency here in South Africa, many people are starting to look for jobs in foreign countries. Since 2019, a large number of South Africans have been hired to teach Englishin foreign countries, primarily China.It was unfortunate that most of them had to come back because of the coronavirus, but some of them remained there.

 

 

To begin with, there are many challenges that are facing as foreigners in other countries. Such challenges include racism and a lack of support from the government. Another heartbreaking challenge that many people who went overseas are facing is that when one dies, it becomes so hard for the family to bring back the child. Last week, there was a trending story of a 27-year-old teacher called Lisanda Sixaxeni. This lady passed away in China and her family is struggling to bring her back.

Following that, there is another painful story of another teacher who passed away in China. Siphosethu Mqokozo was working as a teacher in China. She passed away last Thursday, but her family doesn’t have enough money to bring her back to South Africa. Siphosethu is 30 years old.

 

She completed her bachelor of education at the University of Johannesburg and went to China in 2019 to work as an English teacher. It was unfortunate that she left us. The family hasn’t revealed the cause of her death. Her family is asking for donations to bring their daughter back home.

In conclusion, Many people are starting to ask themselves what is killing South African teachers who are working in China because this month there have been more than three reports of South African teachers who died in China. What is even worse is that the government does not bring back the cottage. The family has to make a plan on their own. This has planted fear in many people who wanted to go to China. They are now scared following the incident of teachers who passed away there.
